On January 18, G7 Aerospace’s Butterworth branch, alongside its sister company, G7 Global Aerospace, had the honor of hosting the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), Datuk Lokman Hakim Ali, during his working visit to Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) bases.
His visit included Gong Kedak Air Base, home to the Su-30MKM fighter fleet, and Butterworth Air Base, where the RMAF’s squadron of F/A-18C/D Hornets operates. The visit aimed to assess the operational readiness and ongoing maintenance efforts for these fighter jets, a crucial aspect of national defense sustainability.
As part of the visit, Datuk Lokman reviewed the Su-30MKM fleet’s maintenance work at ATSC’s Sukhoi Technical Centre (STC) in Gong Kedak and the F/A-18D Hornet maintenance program undertaken by G7 Global Aerospace at Butterworth Air Base.
