SEPANG, 12 January 2026 – The visit by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, YBhg. Datuk Lokman Hakim bin Ali, to G7 Aerospace Sdn. Bhd. underscores the Government’s strategic commitment to strengthening the domestic defence industry by enhancing local capabilities in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO), unmanned systems, avionics upgrades, and sustainment engineering.

The visit highlighted G7 Aerospace’s role in supporting the readiness and self-reliance of national defence assets, reducing reliance on overseas services, and ensuring the operational continuity of the Malaysian Armed Forces.

It also reflects the Ministry’s support for technology transfer, advanced research and development, and skilled workforce development in line with the National Defence Industry Policy, positioning Malaysia as a competitive regional hub for defence services and technology.
